My goal is to have at least 8 Baptisms in the year 2016 and I plan on reaching that goal. So we can have an amazing last week in the transfer! Oh ya it’s the last week in the transfer.
This week we have been teaching Maria, she is pretty much our only investigator. She is in her early 60’s and had a stroke several years ago. So she is home most all the time. She came to the last session of conference and loved it. And we got her to church, sort of. It wasn’t our ward, because our ward conflicted with her current church. So this Sunday we went to to sacrament meetings, and classes, so it kind of made for along Fast Sunday! We were at the church from 9:30 am for meetings until 5:30pm then we were back at 6:30pm until 8:30pm so lots of time spent at the church. But Maria loved church and we are hoping to get her to stake conference this coming week. She is actually on date for baptism for April 30th! Which is sweet! We are not sure if she realizes that she has to give up her church tho… She doesn’t have any spiritual ties to her church from the sounds of things, it’s just ALL social. So that might be interesting to break to her.
My companion… he likes to talk a ton when we are in the apt…even until it starts to become 11pm and I’ve saying good night like 5 times and told him we will talk in the morning, then it becomes 12am and on and on…. He doesn’t really talk a lot in most lessons, but he’s a great teacher.
Have a great week!
